Two $50 Winners Couldn't Save Our $350 Scratch Ticket Week! (Weekly Recap #1)

We spent $350 on scratch tickets from the New York Lottery, Vermont Lottery and Massachusetts Lottery during our first complete weekly recap. Matt and Shawn revisit six $50 scratch ticket sessions, then add a fresh $50 Massachusetts session to determine which state performed best. The week begins with New York Lucky 7 scratch offs, including a full stack of Yellow Lucky 7 tickets and a direct Yellow-versus-Rainbow comparison. The tickets produce plenty of near misses, small prizes and bonus opportunities, but New York struggles to create a meaningful return. Vermont follows with a mixed session of $1 and $3 scratchers, including time-consuming Cashword and Bingo-style tickets. The state’s biggest moment arrives during the Massachusetts-versus-Vermont comparison when a $1 Fast 50 ticket produces a $50 win and completely changes that session. Massachusetts then delivers several matching numbers, money bags, coins and multiplier symbols across two more $50 sessions. Some of the tickets create strong reactions, including a $40 win on a $1 ticket, while another Massachusetts session returns only $21. For the final part of the recap, we add a fresh $50 Massachusetts Lottery session featuring 50 × $1 tickets across four designs. The session begins with several small winners before one ticket uncovers enough winning spots to return $50 by itself. That ticket pushes the fresh session to $67 returned and a $17 profit. Across the complete week, we spent $350 and officially recorded $244 back, producing a $106 loss. Vermont finished as the strongest state, Massachusetts landed in the middle, and New York produced the weakest overall performance.
